BAYTOWN -

A woman who was taking care of a special needs child is facing charges after Baytown police say she was high on drugs at a grocery store.

Misty Modisette, 31, was arrested Monday afternoon after police say she seemed dazed and confused when she tried cash her income check to pay her electric bill at the Kroger on N. Alexander Drive.

Modisette was with a 5-year-old child at the time of her arrest.

Police say Modisette admitted to taking three "Soma's" before arriving at the store.

Modisette is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
