HOUSTON – Police say a 22-month-old baby was kidnapped after someone stole his mother's jeep.
Investigators said the child's mother had her jeep stolen around 9:30pm at Yellowstone and Scott in Southeast Houston Tuesday. Her baby was inside the jeep.
Investigators said the mom left the car running while she went in to get money out of a nearby ATM; when she came back, her jeep was gone.
According to investigators the jeep was found at Redbud and Bowen around 10:00pm.
A woman doing a dog rescue in the area said she heard the baby crying, and she called police.
The boy was reunited with his mother and taken to the hospital to be checked out as a precaution.
