"I noticed my dogs were skiddish … they normally meet me. I noticed this window was completely knocked out," said homeowner Glenn Ryan.

He discovered it when he came home for lunch, and he wasn't sure if the thieves were still inside.

"I backed out and called the police and they came in and cleared the house," said Ryan.

His back door glass was broken and his house was ransacked.

"Completely trashed the house. They emptied everything on the floor," said Ryan.

While police were investigating, they noticed another house across the street was hit, too. Jewelry was reported stolen.

A block away, in the 2700 block of Raintree, a third house was broken into as well, investigators said.

Sugar Land police said the three cases are related. Detectives have not released any information about possible suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
