AMARILLO, Texas -

Two Texas teenagers have been hospitalized after their go-kart was hit by an SUV.

Amarillo Police Sgt. Leslie Supina tells The Amarillo Globe-News that the teens were injured Monday evening. Police haven't charged the SUV driver.

She says a 14-year-old and a 13-year-old were in the go-kart when it ran a stop sign. She says the driver of the SUV attempted to stop but the vehicles crashed and the SUV bumper hit the older teenager in the head.

Police say the condition of the teens is unknown.
