HOUSTON - A mechanical problem in a pickup truck is likely to blame for a fire that came close to a home in northwest Harris County, firefighters said.
The fire started at around 9 p.m. on Thursday in front of a home on Briarwood Forest and Moonlight Forest.
Firefighters said a Ford F-150 was parked in the driveway when it burst into flames.
Firefighters believe the pickup was part of a cruise control recall and may have never been repaired.
No injuries were reported.
