Photos: White Linen Night in The Heights
Crowds of people lined the streets and flooded businesses to chat, shop, sip or chow down while mixing and mingling for White Linen Night in The Heights on August 2. The event, which was launched locally in 2006, was patterned after a similar set up to promote businesses in New Orleans’ French Quarter. Along the way we ran into a sea of people on White Oak Drive near Christian’s Tailgate Bar & Grill, Sale Sucre, Tacos A Go Go and the White Space. The White Space is an out-of-the box office and meeting space where savvy professionals work, think, connect, create and share in collective business success! During White Linen Night, artists at the White Space showcased a collection of original works, which could be bought or simply admired, and visitors were treated to free cocktails when they passed through.
