HOUSTON – A person tried to rob a bank inside a southwest Houston grocery store on Tuesday afternoon.
Houston police said the Wells Fargo inside the Randalls store on Memorial near Dairy Ashford was held up about 2:50 p.m.
According to the FBI, the person handed over a note demanding cash, but they didn't get away with any.
According to witnesses, the person was heavy-set, but the person's gender was not clear. A detailed description of the person has not been released.
The person did not display a weapon, officials said.
Detectives said the person got away in a green SUV.
