A man wanted for a homicide in Montrose over the summer is now in custody in California.
Police named Adam Gouy, 26, as person of interest in the July 15 death of 44-year-old Samuel Luke Delaschott, a Houston businessman, who was shot and killed in his vehicle in a Burger King parking lot.
Officers in San Diego say they were on patrol outside a Costco store earlier this week when they saw a van with Texas plates and a lipstick-wearing mannequin in the front seat.
When San Diego police ran the plates, they discovered the van was linked to the Montrose murder case.
Police arrested Gouy and a woman who was with him.
Houston police homicide investigators are on their way to San Diego to interview Gouy and search the van.
