Husband shoots wife's new boyfriend in northwest Harris County, deputies say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man was flown to the hospital Friday after he was shot at an apartment complex in northwest Harris County.

According to deputies, a man in his 40s went to visit his common-law wife, who he was no longer living with, around 3:30 a.m. at the York Meadow at Little York Apartments in the 6400 block of York Meadows. While he was there, the man found out his wife's 22-year-old boyfriend and another friend were inside the apartment, deputies said.

According to deputies, the man and his wife were talking outside the apartment when the boyfriend exchanged words with the husband. At some point during the argument, the husband pulled out a gun and shot the boyfriend twice in the torso, deputies said.

The wife called 911. The boyfriend was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious condition. He is expected to be OK.
