KINGWOOD, Texas – A pep rally at Kingwood High School on Friday was supposed to kickoff the Humble Independent School District rodeo, but students and teachers decided to make it a fundraiser for an employee in need.
Longtime employee Jane Murray was recently diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer, and the students and teachers raise money to help her.
Students paid for the right to shave the heads of several teachers.
They raised $9,000 to help pay for Murray's medical bills.
