A man was hit and killed by a car while attempting to walk across a northwest Harris County road late Monday night.
Around 11:30 p.m. Monday, deputies said a man crossing FM 1960 near Theiss Road walked out in front of an oncoming car. According to reports, he was wearing dark colored clothing on a stretch of road with no street lights.
Deputies said the driver of a Kia Sorento didn't see the pedestrian and hit him. The victim died at the scene.
The driver stopped and waited for police to arrive. Police said no charges are expected to be filed.
The names of the driver and victim were not released.
