WATCH: Video shows passenger shoving pilot inside airport

Surveillance video captures incident; passenger faces citation charge

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Surveillance video captured a passenger shoving an American Airlines pilot at Kansas City International Airport.

The incident was reported April 12 in the concourse of Terminal C after a flight from Dallas, KMBC.com reported.

The video shows 49-year-old Edward N. Foster shoving the pilot twice, causing him to fall backward over his luggage moments after the pilot raised his left hand to prevent Foster from taking a picture of the pilot's badge, according to an airport police report. Foster's cellphone fell to the ground.

The incident started on the plane, where Foster claimed that the pilot, who was riding as a passenger on the aircraft, was taking up too much room in the aisle and being disrespectful, the police report said.

After the shoving incident, video shows Foster following the pilot to his vehicle, where the pilot's wife was waiting for him, the police report said. The report also said Foster told police that he wanted to take a picture of the vehicle's license plate.

Foster is charged with intentionally inflicting bodily injury, a municipal violation. The pilot suffered cuts to his legs and bruises on his forearm, court documents said.
