Passenger removed from plane after taking photos

HOUSTON – A passenger on a United Airlines flight from Houston to Newark had to be removed from the plane Friday morning after he began taking pictures inside the cabin, Houston police said.

Some of the other passengers on board became concerned when the 21-year-old man was taking pictures of the interior of the plane with his cellphone while the plane was taxing on the runway before takeoff, police said.  They notified the flight crew, who then called police.

After a nearly hour-long delay, the plane took off with the remaining passengers from George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Police said they briefly detained and questioned the man before eventually letting him go without pressing any charges.

United Flight 315 arrived in Newark, NJ, Friday afternoon without further incident.  The airline did not respond when asked if that passenger was eventually allowed on another flight.
