HOUSTON – Officials with Brazos Transit Authority said they are fielding hundreds of calls from angry commuters after recent bus service problems.
On Monday, at least two buses scheduled to run to downtown Houston from the Sawdust Park and Ride location did not run at all.

Officials said last week, at least eight to 10 buses did not make their pick-ups, either.
For some riders who did get on a bus, transit officials said the drivers didn't know the correct bus routes.
Wendy Weedon with Brazos Transit said the company used to contract out the bus service to Coach America, who provided the buses and drivers. When that company dissolved in bankruptcy, Weedon said Horizon Coach Service took over, starting last Thursday.
Weedon said Horizon has given Brazos Transit nothing but problems. She said Horizon has not provided enough trained drivers, so Brazos Transit has had issues with bus services at all of its park and ride locations, including Sawdust, Sterling Ridge and Research Forest.
Local 2 contacted Horizon Coach Service and a representative said the company would not comment on the bus service problems.
