Dozens of parents got off to an early start Wednesday morning in west Harris County all for their children's education.
Parents camped out overnight outside Barbara Bush Elementary for a chance to enroll their kids in the school's pre-kindergarten program.
The school only has two pre-K classes and registration is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
"This is a really good school," said father Edgar Patron. "I have my other kids here and it's a really great school. That's the reason why probably all of use are out here trying to get a spot for our little ones."
Most of the parents came prepared to spend the night in the cold, bringing with them cots, blankets and coffee.
