HOUSTON – A driver is dead after he crashed into a tree in southwest Houston.
Houston police say the victim was driving a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck in the 4700 block of Boone Street near Bellaire Boulevard around 4:35 a.m.

The driver failed to maintain a single lane of traffic, left the road and slammed head-on into a tree. He was killed on impact.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
