Operation Home Front gives Vietnam vet's family new AC unit

ARS Rescue Rooter signed up to donate a brand new system and duct work to the Fregia family

HOUSTON – Operation Home Front is a group whose mission is to make a difference in the lives of local veterans.

It was hot work, but on Thursday, a Vietnam veteran from Baytown and his family are living in an air conditioned home, all thanks to Operation Home Front.

The group learned about Donald Fregia's need for a new AC and decided to help.

"We patched our unit for the last three or four years," said Fregia.

ARS Rescue Rooter signed up to donate a brand new system and duct work to the Fregia family.

It's a heartfelt thank you that has truly touched his family.

"It's just so hard to take it, we're just not used to it," said Fregia.
