2013: Tennis player Serena Williams becomes the Women's Tennis Association's world No. 1 for the sixth time in her career. By regaining the ranking at the age of 31, she became the oldest No. 1 player in WTA history. She retained the No. 1 ranking throughout 2013 and 2014 and into 2015, raising the record to age 33.
