Woman found safe after going missing in Tomball last week

TOMBALL, Texas – Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies and Texas EquuSearch said they have located Deniece Brantley, who went missing in Tomball on Dec. 29.

Officials put out a flyer on Wednesday that said in part:

Brantley, 37, was last seen in the 24000 block of Highway 249, police said.

She was wearing blue jeans, a red T-shirt with “Texas Forever” printed on the front, a black sweater and sandals or flip flops. She was wearing a ring on her left middle finger, and a Band-Aid on right index finger.

On any other Wednesday, Josephine Brantley would be at work. But today, she is making a desperate public plea to find her missing daughter, Deniece, who was visiting from San Antonio.

“We love her and she loves us. (She) and her sister are very close. This is not like her to disappear, especially to leave her pet. Her pet is like her baby,” Brantley said.

Josephine Brantley believes Deniece came to the Houston area last Thursday.

She assumed she was here to celebrate the family’s Christmas on New Year’s Eve.

Deniece Brantley was caught on her mom’s home security camera ringing the doorbell at 8:15 a.m. that day.

No one in her family has seen her since.

Brantley says at 9:42 a.m., Deniece dropped her dog, Bailey, off to get shampooed at a pet resort near the 24000 block of Highway 249 in Tomball and never returned.

“The next day they called her sister to see if the dog was being abandoned or relinquished and at that point, that's when we found out she had disappeared. She's not responding to any calls, going straight to voice mail,” Brantley said.

The family filed a missing-person report in both Harris County and Bexar County, where Deniece Brantley lives.

“Sweetie, we are looking for you. Just call somebody. If you can get to help, call us,” Brantley said.

Brantley was driving a dark gray, 2015 Toyota Camry with Texas license plates of GPL-9743.

There is no sign of foul play at her Bexar County home, police said.

Brantley is not married, and doesn't have kids. She has a mom, dad and sister who live in Houston.

If you have seen Deniece Brantley since her disappearance, if you know of her current whereabouts or if you have any information concerning her disappearance, please contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-755-7427, or Texas EquuSearch at 281-309-9500.
