A Texas man on the state's top ten most wanted sex offender list was arrested in Dallas.

Officers with the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations, Texas Highway Patrol and U.S. Marshal Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force arrested Juan Jesus Martinez, 62, on Friday.

Investigators said Martinez has a violent past that includes aggravated kidnapping and rape.

He was wanted for parole violation and sex offense against child-fondling, said investigators.

Martinez's arrest was the result of a tip to Texas Crime Stoppers.

"So far in 2013, DPS and other agencies have arrested 21 of Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, including eight gang members. And, $47,000 in rewards have been paid for tips that resulted in arrests," investigators said in a press release.
