HOUSTON - Earlier this month, Andre Johnson said he had no intention of participating in offseason workouts.
The Texans wide receiver proved he is a man of his word.
It was the first day of organized team activities and Johnson was nowhere to be found, as the rookies joined the Texans veterans for the first time.
Texans head coach Bill O'Brien addressed Johnson's absence:
"He and I have had positive conversations. I have a ton of respect for him. We'd love to have him here right now and that's up to him. We're moving forward with the players that are here."
