North Texas man walks 15 miles to work each day

PLANO, Texas – A Texas man's trip to work lasts up to three hours, but not because of traffic; he walks to work.

The man, identified only as Patrick, walks 15 miles five days a week from his home in Plano to the Braum's restaurant in McKinney, where he works as a manager.

According to KXAS-TV in Dallas, Patrick used to work at the Braum's in Plano, but was transferred because the location in McKinney needed help.

Patrick, who did not want to reveal his last name, said a friend drops him off after work.

Patrick was walking to work on Saturday when a McKinney police officer stopped to ask if he needed a ride.

After giving Patrick a ride and learning his story, the officer took a picture with him and posted it on the department's Facebook page.

Ofc. Branson checked on a man walking on the shoulder of 75 today. That man walks 2.5 hours to work from Plano to Braum'...
