No motorized vessels on Lake Conroe after intense rainfall, officials say

CONROE, Texas – Lake Conroe is closed to motorized vessels Saturday following heavy rainfall in the area, according to the San Jacinto River Authority.

Officials said the closure is due to the presence of submerged objects and other hazards. The lake has experienced rainfall totals ranging from five to nine inches over the past two days, officials said.
