Newborns dress up for Christmas at Houston hospitals

HOUSTON – The Woman's Hospital of Texas and Memorial Hermann hospitals are ready for the holidays, especially Christmas!

This year, The Woman’s Hospital of Texas continued its tradition of giving families with infants in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit their newborn’s first photo with Santa.

“It’s been an emotional roller coaster. Christmas is my favorite holiday and I thought he’d be home for Christmas. I’m grateful that the hospital brought Santa here to take a picture with him and the other babies. Every little bit that happens here for him puts a smile on my face,” Amrian Millard said about the tradition and what it means for her and her child.

Over at Memorial Hermann Hospital, the newborns were dressed up and had their photos taken.

Some are photos of babies with cute hats and Santa. Others are a little more dressed up, and others are in stockings. Some were born over the last week or so, others are in the neonatal intensive care unit and may have been there a while.
