New plan to improve Eleanor Tinsley Park

Amphitheater and pavilion will be built at park near downtown

HOUSTON – The Houston City Council approved a plan to build an amphitheater and pavilion at Eleanor Tinsley Park near downtown Houston.

The agreement was made with Silver Eagle Distributors.

Under the agreement, the pavilion will be named after the Nau family, who is the majority owner of Silver Eagle Distributors.

This is part of the larger Buffalo Bayou redevelopment program.

Renderings of the project were not released.
