HOUSTON – Police are trying to solve a murder mystery after a man was found Thursday shot to death in northeast Houston.
Neighbors said they heard gunshots around 11 p.m. along Melbourne and the Eastex Freeway. When they went outside, they found a man shot several times lying in the street, police said.

The victim's identity has not been released.
Officers are asking anyone who may know anything about the shooting to call the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
