'Sign from heaven' seen in photo at deadly crash site

HALL COUNTY, Georgia – Grieving family and friends were stunned when shown a photo from a car accident that claimed three lives last week.

The picture showed a ray of light beaming down on the vehicle in which two women and a girl were killed while returning home from a doctor's appointment in Georgia on April 25.

WSB reports Hannah Simmons; Simmons' daughter, A'lannah Hopkins, and Lauren Buteau died after Simmons lost control of her car and veered into the path of an oncoming truck.

A driver who stopped near the accident snapped a picture that shows the ray of light from the sky.

Those that knew the three who died call the photo "A Pathway to Heaven," and comforted them in their darkest hour.

"When I saw the picture, it completely reassured me. We may not understand why things happen like this," Paige Winston, a cousin of the victims, told WSB.
