AVON, Co –  Sheriff deputies and firefighters had to be called out when an apparent hungry bear somehow made its way into a second story apartment in Avon.
The resident could barely believe his eyes when the bear broke in.

The man called 9-1-1 after locking himself in a bedroom and when firefighters arrived they found the bear going through the man's refrigerator.
Firefighters had to coax the bear into the hallway, but he darted around the corner.
In the end, they caught up with the bear and managed to get him out of the building.
No one was hurt.
