NASA looking to hire officer to protect Earth from alien harm

HOUSTON – If you would like to protect Earth from alien harm, then NASA has the perfect job for you.

The space agency is hiring for a Planetary Protection Officer.

NASA is currently looking for someone with a secret-security clearance to ensure alien life, or biological contamination, doesn't make its way back in a spaceship.

According the job listing, the person would also be responsible for the leadership of NASA's planetary-protection capability, maintenance of planetary-protection policies, and oversight of their implementation by NASA's space-flight missions.

The job requirements include frequent travel and comes with a six-figure pay, $124,000 - $187,000.
