Investigators are looking for possible victims after a music teacher from The Woodlands was arrested and charged with online solicitation of a minor.
"It is scary that that kind of stuff goes on. It makes me want to be more cautious," says Heidi Wahlquist.
Deputies say 29-year-old Clayton Deguerre spent two weeks chatting online with someone he thought was a 15-year-old girl. But what he didn't know is the person who placed the online ad, stating, "I'm 15 and home alone," turned out to be an undercover Montgomery County Precinct 3 investigator.
"He wanted to meet up for the purpose of having sex and in the dialogue talking, he knew that I was a child at school, he would carry on conversations with me believing I was at study hall," said J.J. Stitt with the Montgomery Co. Precinct 3 Constable's Office.
Stitt scheduled to meet him at the South Montgomery County Library on Feb. 20.
"He texted me that he is here to pick me up, and that is when we took him into custody," Stitt said.
Investigators say during an interview, Deguerre told deputies he taught music out of his home. Now investigators are urging any children who've had inappropriate contact with the man to come forward.
"To the bad guys out there, I am on the internet too, just as much as they are,. You think you are talking to a 15-year-old girl, but you are not," said Stitt.
Deguerre was taken to Montgomery County Jail on a felony charge of online solicitation of a minor.
Authorities are investigating whether Deguerre previously engaged in similar inappropriate actions with minors.
"If there are any individuals out there who may have had previous contact with this predator, we encourage them to contact our office," wrote Chief Matt Rodriguez in a release.
