Motorcyclist killed in accident on Southwest Freeway

HOUSTON – All inbound lanes of the Southwest Freeway have reopened after emergency crews have cleared a  fatal accident scene.

It happened around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Houston police said a man on a motorcycle was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic while heading north on the Southwest Freeway. The motorcyclist then collided with the left side of a tractor-trailer truck.

The 35-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene. His name has not been released pending family notification.

The freeway reopened just before noon.
