HOUSTON - A motorcyclist died Sunday after he collapsed on a southeast Houston freeway.
Houston police said a 50-year-old man was riding a motorcycle in the southbound lanes of the 5500 block of the Gulf Freeway shortly after 1 p.m.
Detectives said the motorcyclist slowed down, slumped over and then fell off the motorcycle.
The man was taken to Ben Taub Hospital, where he later died.
The man's identity and the cause of his death will be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
