A woman is in police custody after leaving her four children at home alone, according to court documents.
Police said they received reports of a suspicious event at 1:20 a.m. Thursday at 4001 King St.

When police arrived to the apartment they noticed the door was unlocked; four children were asleep inside with no adult supervision.
According to court documents, an 11-year-old, 6-year-old, 3-year-old and 2-year-old were left inside the dirty apartment.
Police said their mother, Ashlei Deadrick, pulled up outside the apartment while police were talking to the children.
Deadrick was arrested and charged with abandoning/ endangering children with intent to return.
Deadrick did not say how long she had been gone.
