HOUSTON – A woman was discovered passed out in the driver's seat of a car Thursday night with two small children in the car, said Houston police.
Police were sent to the 4700 block of Airline in North Houston because of an SUV blocking lanes without any lights on.
When officers arrived, they found the woman asleep at the wheel and two children, ages 3 and 6, in car seats, according to the Houston Police Department.
The woman took a field sobriety test and was arrested, police said. Investigators said a charge of DWI with a child is being sought against her.
The children are now in the custody of relatives.
