Mother accused of shoplifting with her infant

Police: Woman has prior theft convictions

HOUSTON –  A mother with her infant was arrested after trying to walk out of the H-E-B store with $124 worth of groceries, according to Friendswood Police.

Christie Mae Buentostro, 27, was arrested in front of the store at 701 W. Parkwood as she attempted to leave with a bag full of unpaid groceries.

Investigators say Buenorosto had her infant child with her during the theft.

A family came to pick up the child.

She is currently on probation and has prior theft convictions.

She was charged with felony theft. Her bond is set at $25,000.
