HOUSTON - A mother has been accused of biting her son's face.
Humble police said the baby's biological father, Quinten Scott, said he had put his son to sleep at their home on Sandpiper Circle in Humble in September. He then left his son with the child's mother, Lessielee Ann King, while he went to work.
When he came back the following day, he noticed bite marks on his cheek. They weren't there the day before, Scott said.
According to court documents, when Scott confronted King, she admitted to only sucking on the cheek.
Scott told police he believed King had abused their son at other times before the biting incident. He moved someone into the house to keep an eye on King, according to court documents.
Police said Scott showed them pictures of previous bruises on the child's left eye and right thigh. He also shared a family court transcript where King admitted to biting Scott after he allegedly slapped her, investigators said.
Scott said he has an audio recording of King saying Scott only loves their son. Scott said he believes that's the reason she may have bit their son, according to court documents.
Police said they interviewed the baby's paternal grandmother, who said in December 2011 that she found several bruises on the child's thigh. She later found that King spanked the him with a hard soled sandal, according to court documents, but the incident was never reported.
Police said King admitted to causing the bite marks but said she did not mean to leave marks. She said she had been sucking and chewing on her son's face, but the injury only appeared to be red at first.
King has been charged with injury to a child younger than 15 years old
