Mosquitoes in The Woodlands test positive for West Nile Virus

Anyone living or visiting The Woodlands urged to use repellent

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Harris County Public Health & Environmental Services is warning anyone who lives or visits The Woodlands to protect themselves against mosquitoes.

The warning comes after a recent collection of mosquitoes from the area tested positive for West Nile Virus.

The county is currently spraying three times a week within a wide radius of the trap site.

Anyone living or visiting The Woodlands is urged to use repellent, eliminate sources of standing water, and treat areas that cannot be drained.
