Montgomery County Sheriff's Office gets new uniforms, patrol vehicle graphics

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Deputies and detention officers of Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will have a new look come April.

Men and women of the Sheriff’s Office will be ditching their tan-and-blue uniforms for an eye-catching navy blue.

The change in uniforms is not just so the officers can look new and improved while patrolling the streets, but also the new uniforms are cost-efficient, saving the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office $36,000, not to mention the uniforms are durable and more functional.

The new uniforms will have a modern twist to them and a new five-point Texas star patch under “SHERIFF.”

Along with the new uniforms, officers will be driving in patrol vehicles that will have a brand new graphic for all residents to see.

“This is an important and exciting change for the men and women of our agency and our public. It is my desire to build a Sheriff’s Office that people are proud to work for and proud to be served by,” Montgomery County Sheriff Rand Henderson said.
