HOUSTON – It has been a busy week for firefighters in Montgomery County, who have responded to 9 fires this week, according to the county fire marshal.
Montgomery County Fire Marshal's investigators are trying to determine the cause of two overnight fires.

One of those fires heavily damaged two town homes in April Sound and another damaged a home in Porter.
Other incidents this week include an arson fire at a commercial business on Sawdust Road, a house fire caused by smoking and a cooking fire that forced the evacuation at the Forum Senior Living Complex.
