Monks add stray dog to their brotherhood

Meet 'Friar Mustache'

COCHABAMBA, Bolivia – He is the cutest monk you will ever see.

The dog goes by the name Friar Bigoton, or "Friar Mustache," in English.

He is a stray schnauzer who was recently taken in by monks at a Franciscan monastery in Bolivia.

Friar Mustache's less formal name is Carmelo, and he wears a robe.

Carmelo joined the monastery with the help of an animal rescue group called Proyecto Narices Frias, or the Cold Nose Project.

The group posted the Camelo's story on Facebook and as you would guess, it went viral.

The monks hoped the post would inspire more people to consider adopting homeless animals.
