HOUSTON -

When was the last time you went to the library? Houston has launched a free service to draw you back in and you never have to leave home.

All you need is a Houston Public Library card to download free movies, TV shows, music and audio books right to your phone, tablet or other mobile device. It's called Hoopla Digital. It's like Netflix for library card holders. You can access its entertainment material through a mobile app or web browser and eliminate late fees with the service's automatic return feature.

Or get your head out of that tablet and head to Tomball for Second Saturday at the Depot. Watch 'Megamind' for free on an inflatable screen at Depot Plaza at 5 p.m. There are also games and crafts for the whole family.

Or let the kids build their own bongos at any Lakeshore Learning store this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The supplies and instructions are free.

Friday's free download from Kroger is for a free cup of Greek yogurt. There are several brands to choose from, but you have to download the coupon to your Kroger Card today and redeem it by Jan. 25.

You don't need to have kids to make free crafts. Check out a terrarium booth at Mini Pops this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be live music, free beer tasting and craft activities at the corner of Westheimer and Dunlavy.
