HOUSTON -

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day; and starting this weekend all through next week you've got no excuse to skip it because Consumer Expert Amy Davis is telling you where to get it for free.

Be one of the first 100 people in line at 9:30am at Ikea Saturday, Sunday or Monday to get free breakfast until 11 a.m. and a free Ikea gift card. The giveaways are part of Ikea's grand reopening and recent remodel of its Marketplace and expanded restaurant.

Then get your fill of Chik-Fil-A every day next week. Just stop by the Southwest Freeway and West Airport location Jan. 20 through Jan. 25 between 5:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to get a free three count chicken minis. The deal is one per customer, per visit.

Just because you're not running in the Chevron Houston Marathon doesn't mean you can't participate in all of the excitement. You can head to the Ironman Sports Medicine Institute at Memorial Hermann EXPO on Saturday at the George R. Brown Convention Center from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can attend the free information sessions and browse more than 125 health and running related booths.

Head to Discovery Green this weekend for the "We Are Houston RunFest" to help the marathon and half-marathon folks celebrate their achievements. There will be free interactive kids' games and vendors on Saturday from 7 a.m.  to 10:30 a.m.

Sunday is a free Bayou Bend Family Fun Day. There are tours, performances, craft activities and more for the whole family between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Bayou Bend at 6003 Memorial Drive.

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday, there is free admission to every national park on Monday. In Texas, you can hit the road and head outside to Big Bend National Park, the Fort Davis National Historic site, Guadalupe Mountains National Park or Padre Island National Seashore.
