The last weekend before Christmas means lots of holiday-inspired fun. And everything here is free!

METRO's new North/Red line extension opens Saturday, December 21. To celebrate, you can park at the Fannin South Park & Ride and take free trips all day from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The train will take you to Moody Park for a celebration complete bouncy rides, music and 80,000 pounds of snow for the kiddos!

You can also take the family to a free Christmas concert by Consono, a new choral ensemble in Houston. They'll be joined by Omni Brass Saturday at 7 p.m. at 1101 Bering Drive at the Latter Day Saints chapel.

Kids can make free edible treats for the critters for an outdoor tree at Jesse H. Jones park in Humble Saturday at 10 a.m.

Or head to Santa's Wonderland at the Bass Pro Shop at Katy Mills or Pearland to make free ornaments, get a free photo with Santa and play games and activities.

Get a free king-size Twix at Kroger by downloading a coupon anytime Friday to your Kroger card online. You can use it in-store anytime in the next two weeks.

The fun is inside for Alamo Kids Camp at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas on Mason Road and Vintage Park. There are multiple free showings of "Rise of the Guardians" and "Over the Hedge" Friday through January 1. Click here for free showtimes.
