If holiday shopping already has your wallet tapped out this month, never fear because Freebie Friday is here!

If you're looking for a break from shopping and spending, but you still want to get in the holiday spirit, we've got plenty of fun for you this weekend.

Head to Tomball Friday, Saturday or Sunday for the annual German Fest. You'll see street performers, live music, arts and crafts and 175 vendors. Admission and parking are free.

Or head west on I-10 for Katy's Old-Fashioned Christmas Festival. It's Saturday from 10 until 5 with snow play starting at 11 a.m. in Old Town Katy between 2nd Street and Avenue B.

Light up the night with the Woodland Heights 26th annual Lights in the Heights Saturday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Streets will be blocked off so families can take a walking tour of lighted homes and enjoy live musical performances.

The Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens presents its free family day Sunday from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the 6000 block of Memorial. The theme is Historic Holidays with free music, demonstrations and crafts.

Clear Lake will be all aglow Saturday at 6 p.m. for the 52nd annual Christmas Boat Lane Parade. More than 100 decorated boats will travel from the Clear Lake channel to Galveston Bay.

Too much Christmas? Let your kids learn about owls and meet a real live screech owl Saturday at the Archway Gallery on Dunlavy from 10 a.m. to 2 pm.
