Pumpkins and pooches, monsters and movies -- our Freebie Friday is chock full of Halloween happenings, things you can do every day leading up to Halloween.

Start the fun tonight at Crosspoint Community Church in Katy from 6 until 9 with indoor trick or treating, live music, a costume contest, laser tag and inflatables

Saturday head over to the Orange Show at 2402 Munger Street for a pumpkin carving and mask decorating workshop for adults and kids. Pumpkins are limited, so it wouldn't hurt to BYOP. It's happening from 11 until 2pm.

Bring the pups out in costume for Bridgeland's Howl-o-Ween Fest Saturday from 10 until 4 pm at Oak Meadow Park at 17730 House Hahl Road. It starts with a "Pup and people Ruff Run" at Waterway park at 9 am. Register online before you run over. 

Pick your party on Sunday. There is free trick or treating and costume contests in the lobby of Moody Gardens in Galveston. Boo on the Boardwalk on the Kemah Boardwalk, The Woodlands Trick or Treat Trail from 3 to 6 pm in Town Green Park and along The Woodlands Waterway or Sugar Land Town Square from 4 to 8pm.

On Thursday, Halloween night head to Discovery Green for "Scream on the Green" from 6 to 10pm.It's the city-wide free Halloween celebration and costume contest. Register first online if you want to enter. you could win some cool prizes. Stick around for a free showing of Frankenweenie.

There's more free fun for your family at The Children's Museum with Moe's Monster Mash from 5 to 8pm on Halloween. A DJ will provide tunes at the Thriller Dance Party, then you can trick or treat or work in the Crazed Chemist Lab. General admission to the Children's Museum every other day is $9. You can treat ir trick all day Saturday and Sunday or let your child decorate pumpkins on Saturday.
