Free fall fun for dog lovers, families and those looking for an early Halloween fright.

Free Barkitechture Display
Houston's Barkitechture will be on display both Saturday and Sunday to benefit Pup Squad Animal Rescue. Owners and their dogs are invited to stroll the outdoor courtyard between Caroline and San Jacinto in downtown Houston to see more than a dozen state of the art dog houses from some of the areas top design firs. The event is free and open to the public. Event parking will be available in the Green Street garage at 1301 Main St.

Free KBR Kids Day
Kids are invited to go wild on Buffalo Bayou at the annual KBR Kids Day on Saturday from 11am - 3pm on Sabine Street. There will be free family fun, entertainment and even a halloween costume parade. Children are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite wild animal, reptile or insect.

Free Texas Ghost Stories
Looking for early Halloween fun? Texas ghost stories will be told Sunday at Washington on the Brazos. The tours are free to Texas State Park passholders and children under the age of 6. Tickets for adults are $5 and $3 for students. The state park is about an hour northwest of Houston between Brenham and Navasota.

Free Fire Fest
Fire Fest will be held Saturday at the Houston Fire Departments Val Janke Training Facility on Braniff. There will be live fire and rescue demonstrations, antique fire trucks and a kids zone.

Free Movie Discovery Green
Friday night at Discovery Green a free film and free Chipotle tacos on the lawn. The movie "In Organic We Trust" will start at 7 pm and free tacos, wine and beer samples will be available before show time.
