HOUSTON -

Take your little builder to Home Depot on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Kids 5-12 can build a mini-crate pencil holder for free. Activities and supplies are first come first served or you can sign up online to reserve a spot.

Climb into the cockpit of a World War II trainer at the World War II Aircraft and Museum at the West Houston Airport on Groschke Road. The first and third Saturdays of the month are always free.

Then grab lunch at Long John Silver's on Saturday Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., you can get free fish and fries at any location.

Saturday is White Linen Night in the Heights From 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. stroll 19th Street for art, live music and shopping.

Gelazzi on White Oak is serving up free scoops of gelatto.

 Aug. 5th is the next free Lego mini-model build . Children ages 6-14 can build a Lego monkey at Houston-area Lego stores beginning at 5 p.m. until supplies last.
