HOUSTON -

Get out your calendar. It's time to pencil in some fun for the weekend; and these activities won't cost you a dime.

Start your Cinco de Mayo celebration early on Saturday, May 3rd. LULAC's annual Cinco de Mayo parade starts downtown 10 am at the corner of Texas and Hamilton.

Keep the party going by moving over to Minute Maid at noon for the Cinco de Mayo Festival where they'll have live music, Astros players and activities for the kids.

Enjoy a free afternoon of art and entertainment at the Menilfest from 11am to 6pm on Saturday where the Orange Show will have art projects for the kids.

Have you always wanted to fly fish? You can learn how for free at two Orvis stores Saturday at 8 am. Space is limited so you do have to call ahead to register. If you miss Saturday's clinic, there are others this month too. The fly fishing basics will cover fly casting and outfit rigging. All ages are welcome, but those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  The Orvis store at 5727 Westheimer still has openings. Call the store at 713-783-2111.
