HOUSTON -

Father's Day is just two days away; and if you're still trying to scare up a gift for your dad, we can help. We've got some Father's Day freebies in this Freebie Friday Report.

It's a great weekend for some family time; and since it's all about dad, why not go old school with some hits from his younger days?

Can you believe Ghostbusters is 30 years old? Celebrate the film's anniversary with a free outdoor screening at Discovery Green on Saturday at 9 p.m. Arrive an hour early for contests and activities.

Or introduce the kids to the classic 1988 Tom Hanks movie "Big." It's now a musical and you can watch it free at The Miller Outdoor Theater on Saturday at 8:15 p.m. Seats on the hill are always free. You can snag a covered seat by going to the box office Saturday between the hours of 10:30a.m. to 1p.m. There is a limit of four per person over the age of 16. If tickets remain at 1p.m., the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets.

Local restaurants are helping dad get his grub with free deals.

Dads eat free at the Spaghetti Warehouse on Sunday. If you take a picture of your dad and upload it for the restaurant's Incredible Dad Contest, you could win free lasagna for a year.

Buy a burger and get a BFD at The Counter. That stands for Burger For Dad and it's free. Get free breakfast for your dad at Ikea on Sunday from 9:30a.m. to 11a.m. Then you can grab that bookshelf for him to assemble next weekend.

And if you take him to BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse on Saturday or Sunday, dad gets a free pint-glass he can take home.
