Weeplay Kids LLC announced a voluntary recall of its H.W. Carter & Sons/Carter's Watch the Wear bodysuits and sleep 'n play one-piece garments due to a potential choking hazard.

In a news release, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the snaps on the fabric of the garments can detach and threaten the safety of infants and young children.

The agency said it has received about 30 reports of snaps detaching from the garments. However, no injuries have been reported.

Weeplay Kids said about 128,000 units of the sleep wear were sold at Big Lots, Century 21, Conway, Cookies, Cost Mart, DD's Discount, Edison Childrenswear, Gabriel Bros., Kiddy Time, Kids Place, Kidstown, National Stores, Pamida Stores, Real Value, Regine's, R.H. Reny, Ross, Shoppers World, Valley Wholesale, Variety Wholesalers and Youngland stores nationwide.

The recalled garments were sold from November 2010 through August 2011 for about $4 to $9, and have "Carter’s Watch the Wear" printed on the front of the package and on the inside neckline. The garments are pastel blue, pink and yellow, and packaged as solids, stripes and patterns. They are sold in packages of two, three or five.

Consumers are urged to immediately discontinue use of the sleep wear and contact Weeplay at 888-226-2200 to receive free replacement garments.
